How Rarium Handles Compliance

Regulators who look at mystery boxes tend to ask the same questions: does every buyer get something, are the odds disclosed, and can anything be turned back into money. Rarium is built so the answer to each is fixed in the product, not left to a setting.

Every Purchase Is A Real Item

A box only ever contains products from the shop's own stock. Every purchase ends in one of them, added to the order and shipped like any other line. Nothing in a box is a voucher, a token, a currency or a chance at something later. Before buying, the box page shows the lowest value a pull can land on.

The Odds Are Always Published

Odds are computed from the items in the box at that moment and shown on the box page before purchase. They are never typed in by hand, so they cannot drift from what the draw actually runs, and there is no setting anywhere in Rarium that hides them. Every pull is also listed on the store, commons included.

No Credit, Currency Or Buyback

Nothing a buyer pulls can be exchanged back for money, store credit or points through Rarium. This is not a disabled feature; it does not exist, and it will not be built. It is the line that separates selling a product with a surprise in it from offering a chance at money.

The Draw Runs After Payment

The pull happens once Shopify reports the order as paid, outside checkout. Checkout only sells a product at a stated price. The randomness that decides the pull was sealed and published before the order existed; the fairness page explains how.

Region Blocking Per Box

Any box can be blocked for chosen countries or US states, enforced at checkout. Belgium is blocked by default. Where you sell is your decision; Rarium makes it enforceable.

Gift Pulls Are Capped

A gift box, the free pull a shop can give for spending over a threshold, adds at most four free pulls to one order. A promotion stays a gift and cannot become a way to accumulate pulls.

A Full Record Of Every Pull

Every pull writes a record as it happens: the order, the exact pool at that moment, the randomness and the result. Records are only ever added, never edited. Paid plans can export every pull as a spreadsheet.
